So...what can I say about streusel? Light, fluffy crumb stuff that goes on top of muffins, coffeecakes, or whatever. Sounds easy, right? WRONG! Ok, maybe it's easy for most people, but for me, an amateur chef who obviously has a problem, making streusel has been too much of a challenge! No matter what recipe I use, I somehow manage to botch it and I've made it at least 4 times in the last 3 weeks for different things. Oh well, perhaps it will come to me. But on a good note, I did manage to make a pretty good birthday cake! :)
